Coriander – Mint Chutney Recipe (Dhaniya Puthina Chutney Recipe)

Coriander and Mint leaves are good for health, and can be included in a variety of our Indian dishes. Today, I am going to share an easy recipe of Coriander and Mint. These leaves are easy to grow in your kitchen garden and can be harvested in a few week time.

Both leaves are very good to enhance digestion. So if you have an upset tummy due to indigestion, have a cup of warm water with Mint leaves in it. It gives faster relief for gas or indigestion. Lets take a look at the recipe.

    Ingredients:

    Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch ()

    Mint – 10 leaves

Shallots – 7 (Small Onion cut into small pieces)

    Coconut – ½ cup

    Ginger – 1’ piece (grated)

    Green Chilli – 3

    Salt – to taste

    Water – ¼ cup

    Preparation Method:

    1. Coarsely chop the coriander leaves and mint, so that it is easy to put them in the blender or mixer.

    2. Chop or grate the ginger

    3. In a mixer or blender, add coconut, Coriander, mint, green chillies, shallots, ginger, salt, water and grind them all together to form a smooth paste. Add little more water if you see that the mixer doesn’t run.

    4. This Chutney can be served with Samosa, Vada, Dosa or Idly. It can also be used as a spread in sandwiches.
