  • Australia's biggest and best Deepavali Festival organised by Hindu Council of Australia is held at Parramatta Park for 2 days which is on 14th & 15th of October. 
     
    Event times are 3 p.m - 9 p.m on Saturday, 14th October and 11 a.m - 9 p.m. on Sunday, 15th October 
     
    This is an extravagant family event where Sydney siders wait a year long to come, see and experience Musical & Dance performance, Various competitions such as Food, Rangoli, Kids rides for all age groups, from various large corporations and sumptuous food served by Sydney’s best and chefs and restaurants. An event not to be missed.
     
    Program details:
    Saturday, 14th October (3 p.m to 9 p.m)
    The essence of India 3Pm Onwards - a presentation of various Indian dance forms, both light classical and folk 
     
    Ramayan (6.30 PM Onwards) - The great Indian Epic, choreographed presentation with brilliant costumes, music and visuals
     
    The Garba  8.15 Pm Onwards - a famous community dance firm where everybody can participate easily and enjoy the fun
     
    Sunday, 15th October (11 a.m to 9 p.m)
    The Western union Bollywood dance competition, the biggest Indian dance competition with cash prizes
     
    Special presentation of Band Baja Bride, celebration of marriages from different cultures in colorful and vibrant way. Also ramp walk of numbers of bride and groom couples
     
    Rangoli, the colored powder design art of India, competition with cash prizes 
     
    Magnificent Effigy of Raavan with special pyrotechnics, spectacular fireworks 
     
         SABRINI Chef of the Year 
         Two full days to enjoy spectrum of rides for all ages
         Virtual reality experience 
         Henna artists & face painters
         Tasty and delicious food stalls 
        Cultural programs for whole days 
        Number of free give aways
     
    Event is held at Parramatta park which can be accessed via Westmead (Park Avenue) and Parramatta (Macquarie Street).
     
    Main entry for the event area is within parammta park and is opposite to the train lines near Billy Hart Memorial.

    Tickets are available for $6 contribution per person for a single day event pass. Tickets can be purchased for both the days in a single booking transaction, seperate tickets will be issued for individual days.
    Entry is free for Kids under 10 years old.

    Event is held at Parramatta park which can be accessed via Westmead (Park Avenue) and Parramatta (Macquarie Street). Plenty of public transport optios are available to get to the park such as Trains, Buses and Ferries. Parramatta Park is also walkable distance to both Westmead and Parramatta train stations. 
     
    Closest Parking is available at Parramatta Westfield and surroundig streets in Westmead and Parramatta.
